NC Auditor probes Charlotte’s settlement with police chief’s husband

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — North Carolina’s state auditor is investigating a settlement reached between Charlotte leaders and the husband of the city’s new police chief, Estella Patterson.

The settlement was announced days before her hiring.
