BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WIS) – Blythewood Mayor Sloan Griffin will not face criminal charges after claims he and other officials held a woman against her will at a town facility.
Griffin announced Thursday that the Richland County Sheriff’s Department found there was no basis for charges in a Sept. 11 incident at Doko Manor. The mayor added in a statement that he fully cooperated with RCSD’s investigation.
“I appreciate the thoroughness of the investigation and the clarity it brings to the community,” said Griffin. “These accusations were serious and personally harmful, and their impact will not be forgotten. However, I remained confident that the truth would emerge. I am grateful to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department for their professionalism throughout this process.”…
