State Police Add Suspect in Violent Assault Case to 10 Most Wanted List With New Reward

ERIE, Pa. (EYT) — The Pennsylvania State Police and U.S. Marshals Service are intensifying their search for a man wanted for a violent 1998 rape by adding him to the 10 Most Wanted list and offering a new reward.

The United States Marshals Service Western Fugitive Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police BCI Fugitive Task Force continue to search for Michael Edward Akerly. According to the release, Akerly is wanted on a federal arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. He is also wanted in Erie County for rape and aggravated assault…
