EVANSVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) — Evansville Water and Sewer Utility (EWSU) is moving to shut down its waste dumping station.
This comes after local waste haulers received a letter from the company that the station would be shutting down January 1. Executive director Vic Kelson says this move is an effort to put customers at the forefront.
“The current system we have, there’s not enough hauled waste coming in to pay for it,” says Kelson. “So that means that our residents are subsidizing the haul waste.”…
