Dorothy “Pat” Rudd, a longtime St. Cloud resident and World War II U.S. Navy veteran, died on December 2, 2025, at the age of 104. Rudd was well known in Osceola County for her support of veterans and her participation in local events. She often attended gatherings such as the Silver Spurs Rodeo and Memorial Day ceremonies.
Rudd served in the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II. She was among the women who joined the military at that time. Her husband, Gerald Rudd, also served in the Navy and later worked on the construction of Frontierland at Walt Disney World Resort before it opened in 1971.
