Lexington police seek help after porch pirate caught on camera

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington police are asking for help solving a November porch-piracy case on West Short Street.

According to police, around 3:28 p.m. on Nov. 29, Lexington police received a report about a theft of mail matter. The victim reportedly told authorities someone removed multiple packages from her front porch in the 600 block of West Short Street.

Lexington police share tips to prevent package theft this holiday season

The suspect was described as a roughly 6-foot-tall man wearing a green letter jacket, jeans with holes in the legs, white high-top Jordan’s, and a black Under Armour baseball cap.

A doorbell camera video showed the man carrying a green gardening can and walking up to the home during the day to grab multiple packages from the ground. After grabbing the packages, he appeared to return to the sidewalk and continue down the street…
