LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A mother-daughter duo of Sumatran orangutans recently joined the Louisville Zoo, the first new orangutans at the zoo in 28 years.
Sumaga, 38, and Kera, 7, came to Louisville from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Sumagu and Kera to the Louisville Zoo family,” Louisville Zoo Director Dan Maloney said in a news release Thursday. “Both are gorgeous, and we encourage every member of our community to come see our newest residents.
