Illegal Immigrants’ Violent Struggle Leaves ICE Agent With Dislocated Shoulder In Polk County

TAMPA, Fla. – A 22-year-old man faces up to eight years in federal prison after admitting he fought off immigration agents during an attempted arrest in August, an altercation that resulted in serious injury to a federal officer.

U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced that Denis Napoleon Corea-Miranda, a national of Nicaragua, has pleaded guilty to forcibly resisting, opposing, or impeding federal officers. A date for his sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
