Kenosha Explores Passenger Rail Link to Racine, Milwaukee

KENOSHA, Wis. (WLIP) – Dec. 3, 2025 – Kenosha officials are exploring the possibility of passenger rail service connecting Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee.

A new city commission has been formed to study the potential project, and the first meeting is scheduled for Friday morning. Alderman Dominic Ruffalo said the effort is purely exploratory, with no funding or construction commitments at this time.

The commission will include representatives from Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee, who will evaluate the feasibility of linking the three cities by rail. Ruffalo emphasized that while the idea is in early stages, the city wants to gather information and public input before moving forward…
