Man sentenced for targeting police helicopter with laser

ST. LOUIS – A Warrenton, Missouri, man will spend nearly two years in federal prison for temporarily blinding a police helicopter pilot with a laser pointer.

Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Joshua J. Johnson, 44, was convicted in July of one count of knowingly aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft.
