People like to say “It takes a village,” when it comes to neighbors taking care of each other. While it is a clichè, in this case it’s true.
Apparently, the Treasure Valley, and the internet, can work together for a whole lot of good. Through a pair of GoFundMe fundraisers, they’ve combined for nearly $100,000 in funds for expenses for a family who just suffered a devastating tragedy.
The Summers family lost their 7-year-old, Graham John Summers, of Meridian, in a fatal collision on Nov. 25. The incident, which happened near milepost 39 in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84, consisted of a 2007 GMC Sierra — that Graham, his two younger brothers and dad, Austin, were riding in — which rear-ended a 2013 Ford F450 Box Truck.
