AKRON — Summit County Children Services (SCCS) announces the launch of a new unit, embedded within the Intake Specialized Services Department, called the Substance Use Impact Team, or SUIT unit.
This newly formed unit, which began Dec. 1, will respond to reports in which there are ingestion incidents involving substances. To date, there have been nearly 50 reports in which child ingestions were the concern.
