The incident, which occurred just before the stroke of midnight, saw flames emanating from a second-story apartment located in the 2200 block of Harrison Avenue. Assistant Fire Chief Matt Flagler indicated that while the person taken to the hospital had experienced serious injuries, these injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening; a second individual was evaluated for potential injuries right there at the scene, and then they were released while fire crews continued to scour the buildin,g confirming that no others were trapped inside.
