HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – As the City of Oak Grove’s solid waste contract expires in early December, officials have not come to an agreement on a permanent replacement trash service for residents.
During the Dec. 2 Oak Grove City Council meeting, councilmembers voted to reject the bid from Stinky Pinky Inc. who was in line to become the city’s primary residential solid waste service. The city currently utilizes GFL Environmental as a trash provider for residents. The agreement with Stinky Pinky was previously approved by the council, with the decision to reject the bid coming after discussion during an executive session in December.
