Attention Residents: Tarps Required for All Waste Loads at Montgomery County Facility Starting January 2026

Starting January 2026, Montgomery County Environmental Services in Moraine, Ohio, will require all commercial and residential customers to use a tarp to cover open waste loads when bringing materials to the Solid Waste District Transfer and Recycling Center. The Solid Waste District’s governing board approved this rule to improve safety and reduce litter on county roads. There will be no fines at first. The policy follows Ohio state regulations and focuses on education and community involvement to encourage compliance.
