First Alert Forecast: Record cold possible overnight, several snow chances ahead

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Tonight’s record low is -2º, set back in 1964, and there’s a decent chance (40-50%) Fort Wayne either ties or breaks the record! Wind chills will fortunately be less extreme than previously feared, but it’s brutal all the same: -3 to -8º overnight through around sunrise Friday.

Friday afternoon, however, will feature a rapid warm up with highs ultimately reaching the upper 20s under mostly sunny skies.

Saturday won’t likely be as sunny, but it does look similar in the temperature department as highs make it to near freezing…
