Middletown is proposing raising property taxes and doubling its earned income tax for 2026, that will cost the average household about $500 more per year.
The additional cash will allow the township to decrease its $2.8 million deficit, hire more employees, and pay for a backlog of capital improvements estimated to cost taxpayers $60 million through 2030.
