Arrest made in THP highspeed chase, crash, shooting in Raleigh

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men are now behind bars after the Tennessee Highway Patrol says they led troopers on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash and a shooting in Raleigh on Wednesday morning.

Dedreck McVay, 32, and Kevin Riley, 19, are both charged with reckless endangerment, intentionally evading arrest in auto, possession of a controlled substance -marijuana, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, no driver’s license, violation of financial law, and operating a car with reflectorized windows.

THP reported that they were on a routine patrol in the area of Jackson Avenue and Bingham Street around 4 a.m. when they saw a vehicle with dark-tinted windows stopped in the middle of the roadway.
