Florida man left 3 cats to die after moving out, deputies say

NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested after he was accused of moving out of his southwest Florida home and abandoning three cats, leaving them to die.

Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a welfare check after a concerned neighbor told the property manager that David Ross, 27, hadn’t been seen in months and flies were gathering on the home’s windows.

Deputies entered the home to find it covered in trash, insects and cat feces. The bodies of three cats were found “in advanced stages of decomposition.”…
