A 28-year-old man was critically wounded late Wednesday morning when a gunman stepped out of a vehicle and opened fire as the victim walked along a Roseland block on Chicago’s Far South Side. The shooting happened at about 10:32 a.m. in the 10700 block of South Wentworth Avenue, where the man was hit multiple times in the body. He was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition.
Police: Shooter Exited Vehicle And Took Off
According to FOX 32 Chicago, Chicago police said an unknown person got out of a vehicle, fired several rounds at the man, then fled south on Wentworth in the same vehicle. Area Two detectives are investigating, and police said no arrests have been made.

The 10700 block of South Wentworth has seen more than its share of gunfire over the years, with multiple shootings sending victims to nearby hospitals, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
