SALINE COUNTY, Ark. – Court records show a Saline County man received a 20-year sentence after a guilty plea for vandalism at a county public works construction site.
Records show 42-year-old Clint Guthrie of Cabot was sentenced on Monday after a negotiated guilty plea for felony first-degree criminal mischief following his May 29 arrest. Guthrie was charged after a bulldozer and an excavator used to expand the county’s Southwest Trail were seriously damaged, including one being buried and one being rolled into a creek at the site.

An investigator’s report in the court records said the contractor who owned the equipment estimated the damage as between $750,00 to $1 million. Guthrie had been fired by the contractor as an equipment operator just prior to the vandalism.
