SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield-Greene County Library District is teaming up with the Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) this holiday season, with the goal of helping families struggling with food insecurity.
The Springfield-Greene County Library District is collecting food across all ten branches. The donations will help families impacted by the recent SNAP disruption.
“We thought, at the library, we would be a perfect fit for that, because we have 10 branches throughout Springfield and Greene County,” says Eva Pelkey, Branch Manager for the library district. “We have five branches in Springfield and then five more in the surrounding counties.”…
