CSPD: Multiple people presented apparent weapons before November shooting

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Video released by the Colorado Springs Police Department shows multiple people walking out of an apartment unit armed with what appears to be weapons, including an apparent AK-style rifle, ahead of an officer-involved shooting in November.

An officer originally responded just before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 to a call reporting a burglary in progress, potentially with guns involved, in the 500 block of South Nevada Avenue, near the intersection with East Cimarron Street.

According to CSPD, the person who called 911 stated that earlier in the evening, a man had been at the apartment complex and had assaulted a person, leading to a brief fight.
