PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man will spend four years in prison after breaking into an Ace Hardware store in West Salem and attempting to steal merchandise.
Tristan Lewis Stillman, 27, pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree attempted theft following the incident on Oct. 29.

The day of the incident, officers responded to the store and found Stillman inside. Investigators said he had broken a window with a screwdriver to get inside and made a pile of items — ranging from tools to portable heaters — to steal.
