WASILLA, Alaska (KTUU) – The fourth annual Mat‑Su Veterans Resource Fair will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla.
Organizers say more than 50 local, state and federal organizations will be there offering benefits assistance for counseling, housing, employment resources, and health and wellness services for veterans, active‑duty military and their families. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“It’s a collaborative effort with the Mat‑Su Health Foundation and the Office of Veterans Affairs,” said event coordinator Penney Champney. “We really wanted to bring visibility to the veterans in the valley because we’re one of the largest populations of veterans in Alaska.”…
