Man arrested after multi-county high-speed Kentucky chase, deputies say

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — An Ohio man was arrested Monday after an alleged car chase with the Knox County police.

Knox County dispatch reported to deputies around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 that Michael Carvoo, 34, of Canton, Ohio, was allegedly driving recklessly and speeding above 95 mph in a 55 mph zone. Carvoo was reportedly driving south through Barbourville on US25E.

Court documents stated that Carvoo allegedly attempted to run the deputies off the road. Knox County deputies and later officers from the Barbourville Police Department chased Carvoo down US25E, driving at speeds up to 120 mph.
