Thousand Palms Burglary Suspect Arrested With Narcotics and Loaded Firearm

A 47-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after deputies say he stole from a business in Thousand Palms and was found carrying narcotics and a loaded firearm.According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a burglary in progress shortly before 8:50 p.m. in the 72000 block of Ramon Road. When they arrived, they located a suspect who was allegedly in possession of drugs and a loaded gun. He was detained without incident.The man was later identified as Pedro Rueda, a resident of Cathedral City. He was booked into the Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of burglary, as well as multiple weapons and narcotics violations.Authorities said background information on Rueda was not immediately available.
