Woman dead, suspect hurt after shooting at east side store
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis investigators believe a woman was killed during a botched robbery on the city’s east side Thursday, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday, IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot at 5620 E. Washington St. That is the location of Josephine’s in Irvington, a women’s clothing store in the Irvington neighborhood on the city’s east side. Officers arrived and found a woman with gunshot wounds inside the business.
