Bear-vehicle collision highlights growing encounters in Mobile County

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Emily White was driving home just after midnight when she slammed into a black bear at 60 miles per hour on Highway 45 near Citronelle, crushing the front of the SUV she was driving.

White walked away with only minor injuries. The bear ran off into the woods.
