The ongoing debate over surveillance in Nashville is set to continue this week, with the Metro council planning to discuss the latest version of Freddy’s surveillance resolution at a meeting on Thursday at 6:30 pm. Despite repeated rejections from the public, the Mayor’s office continues to reintroduce the proposal, each time with a different presentation. Critics argue that the proposal is nothing more than an attempt to increase mass surveillance under the pretense of improving safety.
