Man arrested for using counterfeit $100 bills in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) – A man was arrested after trying to use five counterfeit $100 bills at a Dollar General in Randolph County, according to police.

Kyle Matthews, 27, of Brooklyn, NY, is charged with fraudulent schemes and counterfeiting, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

Police spoke with the manager of the Dollar General where Matthews tried using counterfeit bills to apply to his Chime card, said officials.

The manager also told police he was a person of interest in several similar incidents around various Dollar General Stores in WV…
