A tragic accident on Chicago’s South Side resulted in the death of a woman early Wednesday morning, as reported by ABC7 Chicago. Police say that while a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus was beginning to move from a stop on South Shore Drive, the woman appeared to slip and was struck by the vehicle around 7:55 a.m.
Officers from the Chicago Police Department responded to the scene in the 7000 block of S. South Shore Drive, where the woman was pronounced dead, officials told ABC7 Chicago. There were no other reported injuries in the incident. Yet, the specifics of what led the woman to appear to slip, and what might have caused the fall, remain unknown at this time.
