ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany attorney was sentenced for incidents involving his ex-wife and ex-girlfriend. Luke Malamood, 40, will spend four years in prison after pleading guilty to assault and criminal contempt.

Prosecutors said Malamood was arrested and charged for several incidents in 2024 and 2025. In July and August 2024, he violated an order of protection when he emailed, called and harassed his ex-wife. Malamood was also arrested in April for hitting his ex-girlfriend with a broom and stealing her cell phone.
Malamood spoke at his sentencing and apologized to his victims and children.
