Montgomery County Police said the incident happened at Northwood High School in Silver Spring on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 9:13 a.m., according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
Officers said MCPS placed the school on lockdown after a fight broke out between two students. Police said a gun was found during the response, and one student was taken into custody. Police said there is “no threat to the school community at this time.”
