Dublin police arrest man on two arson charges, including in Ace Hardware blaze

DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — Dublin Police said they have arrested a suspect on aggravated arson charges in connection with two fires this week, including a blaze that ravaged a Dublin Ace Hardware store.

Police said the Washington Township Fire Department responded to a call at a Marathon Gas Station on West Bridge Street shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, before noticing an active fire at Ace Hardware down the street. Both incidents were contained without injury, and on Friday Dublin Police announced they arrested Carl Ray Lee Foster Jr. on two charges of aggravated arson.

Police said the Washington Township Deputy Fire Marshal found evidence of an attempted intentional fire in the Marathon restroom. Surveillance videos helped launch a joint investigation between the fire department and Dublin Police, which led them to Foster.
