Demolition plans, vacancies worry some North East residents

NORTH EAST — Stacey Frost and her nonprofit Urban Re:Vision over the past four years have bought 13 residential and commercial properties in the town she grew up in at a cost exceeding $4 million.

The properties include the centerpiece of North East’s historic downtown — a building known as the Haynes House — and five properties on a shady stretch of Bank Street.

But aside from the Urban Re:Vision website, which says that Frost is “crafting a replicable model for renewal that honors heritage while shaping a sustainable future,” Frost has remained quiet about her plans…
