3 hurt in home fire on Shepherd Street in Durham, department says

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A fire at a home in Durham Friday night left three people injured, emergency personnel said.

According to the Durham Fire Department, firefighters responded around 10:30 p.m. to a blaze in the 1200 block of Shepherd Street. They saw a large amount of smoke showing from the front of the home and later located a large amount of fire in the basement and on the first floor.
