(WHTM) – Thousands of children’s sports tumblers are being recalled over concerns that their components may pose a choking hazard, an alert posted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.
HydroJug, of Ogden, Utah, initiated the recall of about 17,000 14-ounce Children’s Sport Tumblers because “the rivets on the handles can come loose, causing the handles to detach, posing a choking hazard for children,” according to the notice.
HydroJug said no injuries had been reported as a result of the issue but confirmed it had received 656 reports of loosening rivets/handles.
The recalled HydroJug tumblers were sold in May and June 2025 at numerous retailers, including Academy Sports and Scheels, as well as online at Amazon, Well.com and iHerb. A full list of retailers that sold the recalled tumblers is available at the CPSC’s website.

Customers can identify impacted items by the serial number 235010, which is printed on the bottom (or “under the rubber boot”) of the tumblers. In some cases, the recalled items may not have a serial number at all, the notice warned…
