Texts suggest county staff knew of Webster’s behavior before resignation, attorneys say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Attorneys for former Horry County Police Department (HCPD) Investigator Kelsey Manemeit and former Public Information Officer Mikayla Moskov responded Friday to newly released statements by Horry County.

In a statement to WPDE ABC 15, Axelrod & Associates said:

“Horry County’s decision to continue to release information concerning the off-duty personal lives of Manemeit and Moskov constitutes an unreasonable and ongoing invasion of privacy. The information released serves no relevant purpose. This has all the hallmarks of a smear campaign aimed at embarrassing and discrediting a victim of sexual harassment (Manemeit) and a whistleblower (Moskov) who had the courage to speak up.”…
