Homeless man with criminal history arrested after making threats with knife

A homeless man with a criminal history was arrested after allegedly making threats with a knife.

Dispatchers got a call from a man who said he had been threatened by 20-year-old Airick Joshua Slone at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. He gave a description of Slone and stated he was last seen walking northbound on Citrus Boulevard.

When officers arrived, the male victim explained he was parked by Leesburg Estates, located at 1911 Citrus Blvd., when he heard yelling and someone tapping on metal poles. The person, later identified as Slone, was yelling, “I will kill you.”

The victim noticed Slone had a knife in his right hand, which he remembered as having a brown handle and silver blade. Slone was plainly armed with the knife when he approached and threatened the other man, prompting the man to get his dog and threaten to let the dog loose if Slone kept coming his way. Slone instead stopped, turned away and ran off as the other man got out his phone to call law enforcement, the report said…
