Federal raid in Tillman’s Corner uncovers caged monkeys, raises safety concerns among neighbors

TILLMANS CORNER, Ala. — In an unusual law enforcement operation, dozens of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service agents descended on a home in Tillman’s Corner Wednesday, emerging not with drugs or contraband electronics, but with multiple caged monkeys.

The scene was striking: federal agents wearing masks carefully loaded caged primates onto vans while crime scene tape cordoned off the property. Several animal cages remained visible from the roadway after the operation concluded.
