NORTH EAST — Three weeks after an early-morning blaze destroyed the waterfront UnWined on the Water restaurant near Elkton, displacing more than 30 employees from their jobs, the owner of the establishment has moved his operation and a majority of his staff to White Oak Manor near North East for the foreseeable future.
John Bragg, who has owned UnWined on the Water since 2019, reported that the restaurant will open at 4 p.m. on Friday Dec. 5 for a soft grand opening at the White Oak Manor venue on the former Chesapeake Bay Golf Club property at 1500 Chesapeake Club Dr., off Route 272, south of downtown North East, and that will kick off the business’ first weekend of operation.
