SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — After SNAP benefits were delayed last month, users received their money on time for December. But some didn’t even get to use their funds, as their accounts were drained the same day.
One user lost all their benefits for this month, plus some they had leftover. Their money was spent at a BJ’s in Brooklyn, at a store they’ve never been to.
It was a similar story for a second Syracuse user, whose benefits were used at the same store more than 250 miles away…
