SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Centro has been working with Onondaga County and City of Syracuse officials for some big changes to the route system in the coming year, bringing more service to riders downtown and the suburbs.
It’s the first major overhaul in nearly 20 years. Onondaga County’s buses are going to change how they move riders from one stop to the next with a redesign.
“Now, we’re seeing the people in the urban core, which is in the City of Syracuse, travel to the suburbs to now work,” Centro’s CEO, Christopher Tuff, said. “We’re seeing more and more people have to get out to the suburbs. So, our travel patterns have changed.”…
