Long-vacant industrial site in Rochester set to transform with hopes of redevelopment

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Plans are underway to revitalize the former Vacuum Oil Company site along the Genesee River in Rochester — a site that’s been vacant for nearly a century.

The long-desolate building and land on Flint Street, which has been a site of contamination, is set to undergo a major transformation and cleanup, exciting city leaders and residents, including Mayor Malik Evans.
