The Toledo City Plan Commission will delay for 30 days its decision on whether to approve zoning changes in the historic Vistula neighborhood.
At the commission’s Thursday meeting, members said the extra time will allow them to get more feedback from residents on whether to recommend to City Council changes that would alter the types of businesses in the area. Currently they are industrial and auto-oriented. The changes would bring a more diverse mix of commercial, residential and service entities.
“We were asked to do the study because there’s a lot of energy coming from development Downtown, down the riverfront. Things are moving north from Downtown up along Summit Street,” said Alex Schultz, a planner with the commission…
