Holmes Community College in Ridgeland, Mississippi, has announced the passing of Ethan Cole Oxley, a former culinary arts student, on November 27, 2025, after a diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Ethan was born on July 25, 1999, in Brandon, and was the son of John and Lori Oxley. He graduated from Jackson Prep, where he was known among peers as ‘Oxman.’
At Holmes Community College, Ethan enrolled in the Culinary Arts Technology program. He participated in SkillsUSA and represented the college at the 2023 National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta after winning first place in the Mississippi state contest.
