ARKANSAS, USA — Influenza (flu) cases are rising across Arkansas, with local medical providers saying that this year’s strain appears to be more severe.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the state has reported nearly 800 lab-confirmed flu cases since the end of September. About 300 of those had been reported by Nov. 8, meaning roughly 500 cases have been added in the weeks since. Officials say these numbers do not capture every flu case in the state.
