Wisconsin driver hits a man, arrested for 5th OWI offense

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in central Wisconsin say one man is now in custody for his 5th OWI offense after crashing into and injuring a man.

According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers responded at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday to the 1800 block of Beld Street for reports of a crash with an injury.

Police say a 68-year-old man was attempting to get into a parked vehicle on Beld Street when he was hit by a vehicle and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
