Driver in Critical Condition After Vehicle Strikes Home in Brooklyn Park, Triggering Deck Collapse

An accident in Brooklyn Park triggered a rapid emergency response when a vehicle lost control and struck the deck of a home, causing it to collapse. On December 4, at approximately 10:42 am, local law enforcement and emergency crews rushed to the 6200 Block of West Broadway, where they discovered the aftermath of the crash and the driver in a critical state.

According to a release from Brooklyn Park Officials, the sole occupant, an adult male, was trapped inside the vehicle beneath the debris. With urgency pushing every second, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department worked to extricate the man. Once freed, he received immediate first aid at the scene before being transported by North Memorial Paramedics to a local hospital. His condition was grave.

The site of the accident soon became a hive of investigatory activity as additional expertise was called in. The Minnesota State Patrol was requested for accident reconstruction purposes, signifying the seriousness of the incident.
